Summary of Role:

As a Sales Development Lead, you’ll be responsible for assisting the marketing team with growing and developing relationships with existing members while actively engaging with cold prospects, thru email & phone calls. You will be working closely with the WORLDZ marketing team to identify and seek out key membership opportunities.

The perfect person for this role is both extremely sociable, great on the phone and hungry to grow a community from the ground up. This individual must be organized, possess exceptional communicative skills, and have an ability to work as a team while being able to think and work independently. This individual is expected to be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-changing environment and able to adapt and excel when faced with new challenges.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of the prospect funnel from cold to closed / won
  • Sourcing and closing cold leads via email and phone calls
  • Engaging warm leads via email and phone calls
  • Work with Marketing team to develop and create unique strategies to grow the WORLDZ Membership
  • Evangelize the WORLDZ mission while recruiting potential new members in person at key industry events and online
  • Build deep relationships with key members through the use of email, phone calls
  • Demonstrate the value proposition for an experiential product while adequately handling objections
  • Strong interpersonal skills and friendly professional demeanor on the phone
  • Tenacious work ethic with a desire to be a top performer

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

  • Extensive lead generation experience encompassing cold calling and warm lead conversion
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a keen business acumen
  • 2+ years experience handling high-volume outbound calling campaigns resulting in revenue (PLUS if its in the Events industry)
  • Knowledge and passion for youth media, marketing, and culture
  • Experience building and managing your own pipeline and identifying new business opportunities (both cold and warm)
  • Experience ideating and executing creative and unique ways to target new customers
  • Experience with Salesforce or other related CRM is a plus
  • Good existing sphere of relationships and comfortable cultivating new ones.
  • Highly organized and able to assemble large amounts of data
  • Ability to work as part of a high-performance team while being able to think and work independently
